Leola Mae "Lee" Ragas

Leola Mae Mayer Ragas, known to her friends as Lee, died at the age of 83 in Lawrenceville Georgia on July 14th, 2025.
Leola was born in Burrwood, Louisiana on October 24, 1941. She is preceded in death by her parents Adolph Adrian and Nora Williams Mayer and her brother Ronnie Dale Mayer.
Lee spent her early years in New Orleans where she attended school and later spent over 20 years working at Folgers coffee company. She later moved to Atlanta where she helped raise her grandchildren who she loved dearly. Lee became a member of the Highlands Presbyterian Church in Grayson, GA. There she worked with the Mother's Morning Out Program, Soup Night Program and taught Sunday school. Also, in Lawrenceville she volunteered at Aurora Theater. She also volunteered at the Second Harvest food bank. She was a proud Member of the Red Hat Ladies.
Lee loved anything and everything New Orleans and especially the New Orleans Saints. Also, she later became an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Holley Ragas Marino (Buddy) and her grandchildren Mallory, Megan and Evan. As well as five great grandchildren.She will also be greatly missed by her brothers Adolph, Kenny and Dwain.
Services will be held at 11AM on July 25, 2025 with visitation beginning at 10:30AM at Highlands Presbyterian Church, 830 Grayson Parkway, Grayson, GA 30017. https://highlandsarp.org/
