Leon Cokie Bary, age 84, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022. Leon was born August 12, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Herman Dowdle and Louise Bary. Leon was a retired driver from the Former Conway Trucking Company, Air Force Veteran, member of Bonnie Sloan American Legion Post #28, New Albany, IN and Saint Bernard Catholic Church, Frenchtown.
Also preceding him in death was a son, Marty Lynn Bary.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Lee Erwin Bary
Sons: Ricky Leon Bary of Ramsey, IN
Ronald Wayne Bary of Ramsey, IN
Daughter: Terri Lea Striegel (Dana) of New Salisbury, IN
Grandchildren: Eric Alan Arnold (Amanda), Alisha Lea Heitkemper (Michael), Mike Bary, Joseph Bary (Cassandra).
Great Grandchildren: Michael Heitkemper II, Dylan Heitkemper, Ayden Arnold, Hattie Bary, Chole Bary. Bentley Bary & Kameron Arnold.
Funeral 11 AM Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Saint Bernard Catholic Church, 7600 Hwy 337, Depauw, IN with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation 2 8 PM Wednesday and after 9 AM Thursday at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy 64 NW, Ramsey, IN.
