Mr. Leon "Sam" Blount age 72 of 1100 B Brownlea Drive, Greenville, NC died Friday March 17, 2023.
A viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Don Brown Funeral home in Ayden, NC.
The funeral will be held at Philippi Church of Christ 3760 Philippi Drive Greenville, NC on Saturday, March 25, 2023. There will be a viewing at 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The funeral will begin at 2:00 pm.
He is survived by one son, Anthony Blount of Georgia; three daughters, Montressa Bell of Greenville, NC, Michelle Hawkins of Youngsville, NC and Kimberly Blount of Winterville, NC; two brothers, Clennie Blount of Greenville, NC and Pastor Walter Cleo Blount of Greenville, NC; three sisters, Deloris Smith, Juanita Elbert and Hattie Suggs all of Greenville, NC; three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Truly sorry to hear of Sam's passing. He was "always" there for us in our times of need. Always there to support. Really going to miss him. Praying for you all. Love your Simpson Family
