Leon Kundinger Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rembs Funeral Home and Crematory - Marshfield on Nov. 25, 2023.
Leon F Kundinger, age 63, Auburndale, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Marshfield Medical Center.
Gathering for family and friends will be from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Rembs funeral home, Marshfield, Wisconsin.
Leon was born on August 12, 1960, in Marshfield, to Louis and Rita (Tauschek) Kundinger and was a 1978 graduate of Auburndale High School.
He married Janet Wisniewski on October 2, 1982, at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore, Wisconsin. They raised their sons, Tim and Dan in Lombard, Illinois. Leon drove truck during the day, and in the evenings could be found coaching Lombard falcons football or as an umpire for little league baseball games.
He missed the country life and moved back to Auburndale Wisconsin in 1998. He continued his employment with the local 2150 where he was employed for 30 years. After retirement, he really liked working for Sternweis and sons as a truck driver, and often he could be seen grading roads for the town of Milladore where he was an elected supervisor.
Leon enjoyed farming, horses, cattle, driving tractors, plowing fields, hunting trips with his sons, visiting his friends in the northwoods, hanging out at the local establishments with his high school buddy's and on any given day could be found spending time with his brother-in-law John Hilgart.
He was especially proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their sporting events and extracurricular activities.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, and their sons, Tim, (Erica) Kundinger of new Lenox, Illinois, and Dan, (Danielle) Kundinger, of Auburndale, Wisconsin, and seven grandchildren, Destiny, Angelina, Nevaeh, Zeke, Sawyer (Little Louie), Tucker, and Levvin. He is also survived by his sisters, Lois and Dennis Lang of Milladore, Wisconsin and Doris Lehman of Merrill Wisconsin. He is further survived by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
