Leon McCall Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Hutchins and Rev. Kevin Merck will officiate. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Monday, April 8, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Born on February 2, 1937 in Highlands, NC, he was the son of the late Tolliver and Lillie Mae McCall. Mr. McCall was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He retired from L & R Farms and was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. Leon was a preacher but not a pastor.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McCall was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Erlene Jones McCall.
Mr. McCall is survived by his daughters, Diane Blackwell (Chad) of Gainesville; Nancy Souther of Gainesville; grandchildren, Weston Dale, Conner Dale, Joshua Souther, Sterling Klein; brother, Carter McCall and a number of other loving relatives.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
