Leona B Perque

     Leona "Lee" Mae Braud Perque, went to be with her Lord and savior on March 19, 2025, at the age of 93 years,11 months, and 19 days. She was a native and resident of Gonzales, LA. Leona was a kindhearted person who loved spending time with her family, playing Bingo, and Pokeno. She was a great employee at Cal's Bakery and LeBouefs'. 

     Leona is survived by her 2 sons, Murphy Anthony Perque Jr. and Dale Perque (Donna). 2 grandchildren: Jennifer and Ian; 3 sisters: Mary Robbins (Roy), Agnes Heintze (Hank), and Shirley Delatte (Ronald).

     Leona is preceded in death by her parents, Estress and Juliet Braud. Her twin sister, Leola Lambert; 3 brothers, Leo, Leon Jay, and Hubert Braud. 

    Mass will be held at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church on her birthday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 am, followed by the Blessing of the grave in the St. Theresa Cemetery. 

    Special thanks to the Gonzales Baptist Temple off of Hodgeson Ave. in Gonzales for providing the Bereavement Luncheon, which will immediately follow after the Blessing of the Grave.

     A warm hearted THANK YOU to the family members who cared for Tont Tont at her bedside and completed the FAMILY CIRCLE with LOVE.
