Leona "Willa Dean" Shrum, age 94, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Cassville Health Care and Rehab in Cassville, Missouri.
She was born March 7, 1931 in Ulysses, Kansas the daughter of Abie and Mary (Cooper) Shrum, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her brother, Leroy Shrum and sisters, Mildred Myers, Irene Harris, and Joann Robbins.
Surviving are her brother, Fred Shrum of Eugene, Oregon; sister, Sue Brown of Cassville, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
Willa Dean attended school in Butterfield, Missouri graduating from Butterfield High School. She was employed as a seamstress at several garment factories for many years. In her later years she was a librarian in Marionville, Missouri from where she retired. Willa Dean enjoyed crocheting and visiting with her mom and sister. She loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Willa Dean was a member of Gunter Church.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jerry Nickle will conduct the services. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri.
Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Willa Dean.
