Jimmy Post Obituary
He was born March 23, 1937 in Anadarko, Oklahoma the son of Russell Garvin and Alvirta Minnie (Fields) Post, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his son, Wayne Post; daughter, Pam Farrington and grandchildren, Jeremiah Post and Jennifer Lindsay.
Surviving are his daughter, Geneva Roth and husband Doug of Hesperia, California; son, Leonard Post and wife Cindy of Wallowa, Oregon; sisters, Shirley Galloway and husband Joe of Lawton, Oklahoma and Gwen Conley of Rogers, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Kristy, Angie, Kenny, Dane lle, Sherri, Geoff, Scott, Michael, Jeremy, and Jaelynn; 38 great grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren and a special nephew, Kevin Galloway.
Jim grew up and attended Steker School in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country. Jim was a horse trainer; he trained Belgian horses and made horse drawn wagons. He was a dealmaker, he loved wheeling and dealing, and being outdoors, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
