Services for Leona Annette (Kjelland) Spann, 57 of Willis, Tx formally of Temple Tx will be March 29, 2025 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville at 1:00 PM, with visitation one hour before the service.
Leona was born to Leland and Linda Pace Kjelland in Temple on May 22,1967 in of the old Kings Daughters Hospital
She was baptized on June 18,1967 at Immanuel Lutheran Church and confirmed on April 25,1982 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Temple.
At the age of three she stared Early Childhood in Waco, TX because they had a program to help her learn because of her deafness then transferred to the school for the deaf in Waco until Temple started their Deaf Ed Program started and she attended there until the seventh grade. Leona then went to Texas School for the Deaf in Austin where she graduated in May 1986
She then met Bobby A. Spann in Houston and later married November 20, 2010. Leonna and her husband worked for Amazon in Houston. They later moved to Huntsville to help care for his parents. They later moved to Willis to be closer to work. She worked there until her death.
Leona is survived by her parents Leland and Linda Kjelland of Temple, her, husband, Bobby, son Adam Swift of Indiana and daughter Holly Swift of Marlin, TX. She is also survived by her four grandchildren.
Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Memorial condolences may be made to the family at www.shmfh.com.
