Leona Young, born on October 12, 1930, in Bellinger Hill, SC. She passed away
peacefully on December 3, 2025, in the very city where her journey began. She was 95
years of age.
Leona was a cherished individual who touched the lives of many throughout her years.
Her warm spirit and genuine kindness were a beacon of light to those who were
fortunate enough to know her. From her early days, she exhibited a zest for life and a
devotion to her family and friends that would remain a cornerstone of her character.
She is survived by an extensive circle of family and friends who will honor her memory
and the rich life she lived. Her influence will be felt for generations to come.

The following day, December 9, 2025, a funeral service will be held at Second African Baptist Church, located at 123 Houston St, Savannah, GA 31401, beginning at 11:00 AM. This service will serve as a heartfelt tribute to her remarkable life, celebrating the love she shared with others and the legacy she leaves behind.
