Leonard Andrew Cebula, age 84 years, of Medford Leas, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Len was born to Josephine (nee Sowa) and Andrew Cebula in Taylor, PA. He grew up in Philadelphia where he attended St. Joseph's Prep and St. Joseph's College earning a B.S. in Physics.
After a 30-year career in engineering, Len enrolled in Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing School and worked as a Registered Nurse including several years at Samaritan Hospice before attending Thomas Jefferson School of Nursing where he graduated with a MSN and became a Nurse Practitioner. He worked at The Evergreens in Moorestown where he retired in 2015. He volunteered extensively as a Medicare Counselor. At Medford Leas he chaired the Health Committee and the Great Decisions program. He was a framer for the artists and a farmer cultivating large garden plots. He enjoyed singing with the group of residents and was a fixture in the Thrift Shop. He co-facilitated the Low-Vision Support Group and volunteered in the theater sound booth and the fitness program among other activities. He spent many hours walking on the wooded trails.
For 62 years, Len was the beloved husband of Dorothy McCartney. He is the loving father of Vincent (Wendy), and David (Cathy); he is the devoted grandfather of Thomas and Charlotte and brother-in-law to four. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Len will be remembered at a Quaker Meeting for Worship that will be held on Sunday, October 26 at 1:00 pm at the Knowles Theater of Medford Leas, followed by a reception.
