Leonard Cola Obituary
Len had a great sense of humor and was happiest to be sharing stories and playing pranks when he was surrounded with his family and friends. He loved to travel with his wife Annmary, especially when they could take their dog. He loved to be out in nature and enjoyed road trips to National Parks all over the U.S. Any place that was dog friendly was a potential destination. Len was a Paramedic with the Philadelphia Fire Department and had attained the rank of Captain within the department. He was also a registered Hypnotist with the National Guild of Hypnotists and an amateur HAM radio operator.
Cherished husband of Annmary Thomas. Beloved son of Margaret and the late Anthony. Loving brother of Beth Andrews. Dear uncle of Elisa. Also survived by the Thomas clan.
Relatives, friends and members of the Philadelphia Fire Department are invited to offer condolences to his family on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 9 to 10:30 AM at Saint Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave. Phila., Funeral Mass 10:30 AM. Donations in Len's name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org. To share a memory of Len, please visit www.tjfluehr.com.

I worked with Len on the Fire Department and also with the Philadelphia Police and Fire Pipes and Drums. Len was a charter member of our band and was instrumental in putting our Drum Corps together. He was a very talented snare drummer and a valued member of our band. Our deepest condolences to his entire family.

I also worked with Len in the early 80's at AA Ambulance. He was always smiling and fun to be around. I remember fondly when he and I were geeking out about a nearly launch of the space shuttle. We got off shift late in the evening and we a couple other guys road tripped up to the Cape. To catch the early morning launch. Fun time R.I.P. Let. Prayers for the family

I used to work with Len at AA Ambulance in Boynton Beach, FL back in the early 80´s. There was no better partner or friend. I went on to become a paramedic what was then Del Trail FD. I have fond memories of Len and AA I know how much he will be missed by all who knew him. My deepest sympathies to all of his family and coworkers.
