Leonard "Len" K. Curtis, age 86, entered eternal rest on January 2, 2026. Len was born on April 30, 1939 to his late parents, Everette and Pauline (nee Yenny) in Loomis, WI.
Len graduated from Crivitz High School in 1957. He married Karen (nee Martens) on October 6, 1962. Len served in the US Army for two years prior to joining the trades as a welder. He became the President of the Boilermakers Local Union while employed at Kargards in Marinette. He then went on to work at Ansul as a welder and worked up into management until his retirement in 2002. Len enjoyed his grandchildren, wood working, fishing, hunting, and gardening with Karen after his retirement. Len's happiest times were spending time with his children and grandchildren watching them grow up and participate in sports. Len and Karen enjoyed long drives on country roads, often ending up at a casino.
Len is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Karen. Len is survived by their 3 children, Terri Deming (Matt) of Peshtigo, Bill (Terri) of Cedarburg and Mike (Kaylee Bricker) of Peshtigo. He is also survived by eight grandsons, Zak Woods (Keisha), Lucas Paavola (Eddie Morino), Bret Paavola, Taylor (Amanda) Curtis, Brady Curtis (Matt), Dawson (Katie) Curtis, Carson Curtis, and Quintin Curtis; great- grandchildren, Cierra Kempa Woods, Rowan and Eve Elizabeth Curtis. Len is also survived by his "adopted" grandchildren, Kyle (Jasmine) Deming, McKayla Deming (Liam), Parker, Rylan, Kashton and Harmoney. Leonard is also survived by sisters-in-law, Joan (Del) Hannan, Dorothy (Tom) Berth, Barbara and Donna Martens; brother-in-law, Russel (Karlene) Martens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Len is additionally preceded in death by his parents Everette and Pauline Curtis; his in-laws, Clare and Dorothy Martens; his sister, Patricia; brother, Curtis; and sister-in-law, Dorry Curtis; and brothers-in-law Jerry, Donny, and Billy Martens.
Funeral services will be held at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 with visitation from 2 p.m. until the 5 p.m. service.
