Leonard Patrick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Terry Family Funeral Home - Portland on Jun. 28, 2024.
Leonard Lorenzo Patrick Sr. Also known as LP, Lorenzo, or The Flower Man was born April 11th, 1954, in Portland Oregon to Mattie B Patrick and Clarence Smith. He was the second oldest of 7 children: Terry, Bernard, Jackie, the twins Gerald and Cherald-Ann, and Timmy.
LP grew up in the Northeast Portland area. He attended Boise-Eliot Elementary School and also attended Madison High School.
In the late 1960's LP was a part of the black panthers. Throughout life, he remained a part of the community by becoming an entrepreneur. He had a passion for flowers, preferably roses, so he opened a business named Dream Roses. He also had a passion for grilling, so he started a BBQ business named Riot Ribs in 2020.
Another passion he had was for music. You would always catch him with some type of speaker or a boom box. Some of his favorite artists were Tony! Toni! Tone!
Blackstreet, Tyrese, Jaheim, Lauryn Hill, Ella Mai, SZA, and many more !
LP enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandkids. His
legacy will be proudly carried by his 3 children and 6 Grandchildren Leonard Jr., Dolores, and Dorothy as he would call her "bag of bones", Sha'Niyah, Mykehail Jr., Isabella, Kendall, Sevyn, And Zendaya.
Despite any trials and tribulations, he was very funny, strong, kindhearted, and he never gave up no matter how hard things may have gotten! He will be truly missed by family and friends!
Preceding him in death is his mother, Mattie; father, Clarence; his son, Solomon Patrick; brothers, Terry, Bernard, and Jackie; and other family and friends.
He leaves behind his twin siblings, Gerald and Cherald-Ann; and his baby brother, Timmy. He also leaves behind his 3 children, is 6 grandchildren along with other family and friends.
