Katherine "Kathy" Lee Chatfield, age 73, passed away on January 4, 2026, at her home in Aloha, Oregon, with her husband by her side.

Kathy was born on September 3, 1952, in Logan, Cache County, Utah, to William Orvid Lee and Maxine Jorgensen Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Spencer Chatfield of 50 years; her children, Jeri Lynn Chatfield Cornish (Jeffrey), John Chatfield, Eric Chatfield (Mirinda), Kevin Chatfield, and Diane Chatfield Kiester (Gary); and her seven cherished grandchildren Quinten, Rose (Chelsea) and Clover (Ashley), Emily, Aster (Natalie), Michelle and Alison. She is also survived by her three siblings, David Lee, Doug Lee, and Linda Lee Porter.

Kathy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and deeply loved attending and serving in the Portland Oregon Temple, where she found great joy and purpose.

She attended Brigham Young University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education with a dance major on April 18, 1975. While at BYU, she was a proud member of the International Folk dance team, reflecting her lifelong love of movement and the arts.

Kathy worked as a Payroll Assistant for the Beaverton School District and a sub with the special needs kids, where she was known for her dedication and reliability. Outside of work, she found joy in traveling with her family, sewing and gardening. She took great pride in creating beauty and care in everything she did.

Burial services were held on January 13, 2026, at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Kathy will be remembered for her quiet strength, creativity, faithful service, and deep love for her family. She will be dearly missed.
