Leonard James Peek

 Leonard James “Jay” Peek, 67, of Nebo, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Mission McDowell Hospital. 

 Leonard was born in Asheville, NC on March 28, 1957, to Shelba Jean McCall and the late Leonard Peek. He was married to his beloved wife of 51 years, Cathy Elaine Pierce Peek. Leonard enjoyed watching NASCAR, football, and wrestling. He had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed making people laugh and smile. Most of all, Leonard was a loving husband, father, and papaw. He will always be loved and remembered. 

 Those left to cherish his memory along with his mother, Shelba Guthrie include his wife, Cathy Peek; three children, Tonya Jones (Randy), Bobby Peek, and Tina Lambert; a sister, Angie Sartor; a brother, Darrin Peek (Felicia); two grandsons, Addison Peek and Silas Jones; a granddaughter; and five great grandchildren. 

 The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Beam Funeral Service.

 A memorial service will be held at a later date.
