Leonard Andrew Sholtis

SHOLTIS, Leonard Andrew Age 76. December 9, 2025.

Beloved husband of Joanne. Loving father of Laura (Adrian) Danczyk, Colleen Greer, Suzanne Jonna, and Jennifer (Bill) Tillinger. Cherished grandfather of Matteo, Maximo, Janelle (Nathaniel), Peter Joseph, Gina, and Jessica. Dear brother of Richard (Colleen) Sholtis, Douglas (Leighann) Sholtis, and Mark (Greta Barkai) Sholtis. Dear son of the late Leonard Joseph and Elizabeth "Betty" Margaret Sholtis. Also survived by his loving cat, Bumper.

For many years, Leonard taught as an adjunct professor at Eastern Michigan University, Capella University, and Walsh College. He was passionate about higher education and shaping his students to become their very best. He taught many subjects, from business to leadership, management, and ethics. He took education very seriously and wanted to see all his students succeed.

Outside of the classroom, you could find Leonard bowling with his league at Troy lanes or throwing a tailgate party at U of M, where he was a 50 year season ticket holder. He was a loyal fan and would never miss a football game. Leonard also enjoyed golfing with friends and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation Sunday 3-8pm with 7pm Prayer service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile), Sterling Heights. Instate Monday 10:30am until time of 11am Mass at St. Ronald Catholic Church, 17701 15 Mile Rd. (E. of Garfield), Clinton Township.
