"Everyone's Favorite Guy"
Leonard V. Siuda, of Middleton, MA, Naples, FL and Wells, ME, formerly of Chelsea, MA, died peacefully surrounded by his family on May 23, 2025; he was 79 years old. The husband of Carol J. (Cesareo) Siuda, Len was born on April 29, 1946, son of the late Vincent and Sophie (Kupczewski) Siuda. He was raised in Chelsea, graduating from Saint Stanislaus School in 1960 & Christopher Columbus High School in 1964.
In 1965, Len proudly entered the US Army National Guard and trained as a rifle sharpshooter and radio relay and carrier operator. He was honorably discharged, as a Sergeant and a Reserve of the Army, in 1971.
Also in 1965, Len began his extensive banking and finance career at Atlantic Savings Bank in Chelsea. He moved up through various roles at Wakefield Savings Bank and Regional Bancorp/Medford Saving Bank, ending his career in 2009 with East Boston Savings Bank as the CFO/Treasurer of the bank and Meridian Interstate Bancorp.
He married the love of his life Carol in 1970 and together they raised their daughter, Lauren, in Melrose, where they lived for 45 years.
Len graduated from Northeastern University with his Bachelor of Science in accounting in 1981, and earned his Master in Business Administration from Suffolk University in 1988.
Len was a member of the American Legion in Middleton, Bellevue Golf Club in Melrose, and Glen Eagle Golf & Country Club in Naples, FL.
Len was a foodie that enjoyed the beach, golfing, gardening, playing card games and bocce, cooking and entertaining, and being with his friends and family, especially his granddaughters. He was a Boston sports fan and loved attending Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots' games. He also loved veal cutlet parmesan, a Costco chicken, chocolate covered cherries and VO Manhattans! Everyone always enjoyed his entertaining sense of humor and witty one-liners and phrases.
Len was the devoted husband of Carol for over 54 years. He was the adored father of Lauren J. D'Addario and her husband, Glenn, and the doting Dziadzi (Polish grandfather) of Sophie Jean and Stella Mary D'Addario, all of Middleton.
Len was the brother of the late Stephen Siuda, and his late wife Helen, of Chelsea and the late Thomas Siuda of Methuen. He will be greatly missed by his sisters and brother-in-law Arlene and Mario Iannetti of Reading, and Flavia Siuda of Methuen. He is also survived by his aunt Dorothy Wilton of Derry, NH, nieces and nephews, Darlene Siuda of Chelsea, Mark Siuda and his late wife Annette of Peabody, Stephen Siuda and his wife Charlotte of Malden, Kathy Todisco and her husband Pat of Topsfield, Jennifer Scott and her husband Michael of Windham, NH, Thomas Siuda of Methuen, Andrew Iannetti and his wife Lori of Danvers, Matthew Iannetti of Peabody, and the late Linda Siuda-Valentin and her late husband Luis of Chelsea. Len is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and was equally devoted to his forever friends that were also like family.
