LEONARD VANOVER, SR Obituary
Leonard Gary Vanover, Sr., age 64, of New Tazewell, Tennessee passed away at his home on February 28, 2024.
He was born May 16, 1959 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late Artman Levi and Icia Joann Vanover.
Leonard had a kind heart and was one of the most generous men you have ever met.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife Janice Idol, sons Leonard Gary (Scarlett) Vanover, Jr. and Gary Lee Mason, daughters Nicole Vanover(Mark) McGlamery, Michelle Burchfield, and Sarah Moore Combs, brothers Ronnie Vanover and Ralph Vanover, grandchildren Lindsey Vanover, Taylor Reed, Nathan Reed, Jordan Vanover, Halynn Vanover, Kylee Vanover, Landyn Vanover, Ace Vanover, Rocky Vanover, and Greyson Combs and several more grandchildren, two great grandchildren, the first being Brantley Plucinik, and Rosemary Plucunik, the mother of his children Penny England, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will receive friends at Green Hills Funeral Home on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Mountainview Cemetery in Harrogate, Tennessee, with Rev. Bobby Partin presiding.
