Leonard Leon Winquist

Leonard Leon Winquist, 81, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on June 11, 2024 after a lengthy illness.  Leonard was born on May 21, 1943 in Axtell, KS to the late John and Ellen Winquist.  A Vietnam veteran and staff sergeant in the Kansas Army National Guard, Leonard earned a B.S. from Emporia State University and a M.S. from Webster University.  He retired from Boeing Wichita after many years of service.

Leonard was preceded in death by Deborah Anne Winquist, his loving wife of 45 years.  He is survived by his brother Leland Leroy Winquist (Cloy) of Lafayette, LA, two daughters Cynthia McCormick (Rob) of Spartanburg and Kara Mabrey (Ben) of Spartanburg, and four grandchildren: Mary McCormick, Anna McCormick, Jackson Mabrey, and Sam Mabrey.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 4:00 PM at J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home 690 Southport Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29304.
