Leonito Rosete Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home & Crematory - Princess Anne Chapel on Nov. 2, 2024.
Leonito Baptista Rosete – mostly known as "Leo", 91, passed away peacefully at home on October 27, 2024 after a brief battle with vascular dementia. He was born April 19, 1933 in Davao City Philippines, the eldest son of Conrado Mariano Rosete Sr. and Carmen Castro Baptista.
Leo attended secondary education at Camiling Colleges, Tarlac Philippines, where he earned a high school diploma. He married Teresita Canosa Castillo on June 3, 1960 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Baguio City Philippines - where they settled and raised their sons. They celebrated 64 years of marriage on June 3, 2024.
Leo was a Bus Conductor with 18 years of experience in the transportation industry. He was a respected member of his profession and known for his work ethic, integrity, and trustworthiness. In his retired life and free time, Leo enjoyed walking, solving word search puzzles, and playing the lotto, which brought him joy and relaxation. He was also a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, actively supporting and contributing to their senior independent living community as a bingo caller. A private and reserved person of few words, his compassion, loyalty, and honesty made him a cherished and loyal friend to many.
As a devoted family man, Leo loved his wife, Teresita, sons, Ferdinand, Edward, Eric, Arthur, and Allan, grandchildren, and great grandchildren above all else. Beyond his own accomplishments, Leo was especially proud of his sons, all college graduates, and three of which served honorably in the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents, Leo was predeceased by brothers - Conrado Jr. & Domingo (twins) and Rogelio, sister – Consuelo, and half-brothers – Alvaro & Ruben. Survived by his wife, Teresita (Tess), and his 5 sons: Ferdinand (Glenn) – wife Josephine (Josie), Edward (Eddie) – wife Helen, Eric – wife Pamela (Pam), Arthur (Art) – wife Eleanor (Leah), and Allan – wife Melita (Mel); 10 grandchildren: Ray Jefferson (RJ) & Ferderick (Derick) – sons of Ferdinand, John Isiah (Jiro), Sabrina (Sab) & Chloie – children of Edward, Briana & Zachary (Zack) – children of Eric, Krishafaye (Kris) – daughter of Arthur, and Ian (Renzy) & Arvin – sons of Allan; 5 great grandchildren: Eldrick (Andoy) – son of Ferderick, Juniper – daughter of Briana, Carina (Bree) & Edward (Lyle) – children of Sabrina, and Reese Renette (Renren) – daughter of John; and sisters – Carmen & Consolacion, half-siblings – Rogelio, Consuelo, Manuel, Ederlina, Guillermo, Olivia; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A service of remembrance will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday November 3, 2024 at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home & Crematory – Princess Anne Chapel, 3445 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456, with interment to follow at the same location – Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Those who wish to remember Leo in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Princess Anne Chapel & Crematory, 3445 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
