Leota Wemmering Obituary
Leota was born in Highland, SD to parents Alden Marion Chapin and Majorie May Chapin on July 31, 1934. Leota was married to LTC Fredrick Alvin Wemmering for 69 years. Survivors include, Tracy and wife Helen Wemmering, Denise Badger, Sandra and husband Claude Beaulieu, Jeffery and wife Kimberly Wemmering. 13 grandchildren: Desiree, Joey, Joel, Brian, Amy, Faith, Barrett, Ashley, Erin, Jacob, Crystal, Hunter, Matt, and 27 great-grandchildren.
Leota was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She was a vital member, prayer warrior, and matron to many families of Manna Church of Fayetteville for over 40 years. It is said, "When Leota prays, she shuts the gates of hell and opens the windows of heaven".
Leota was famous for her chocolate chip cookies, pie crust, barbecue ribs, and most of all her bear hugs and back rubs.

6.)Therefore, we are always confident and know that as long as we are home in the body, we are away from the Lord. 7.) For we live by faith, not by sight. 8.) We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord
