IN LOVING MEMORY OF LEROY "Heavy" BAILEY

MARCH 7, 1958 – JANUARY 19, 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Leroy W. Bailey, loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and cherished fiancé.

Born on March 7, 1958 to the late Leroy and Patricia Bailey. He went to heaven surrounded by his loving family and friends on January 19, 2026.

Leroy graduated Kolbe High School in 1976 and attended Newbury Jr. College in Boston where he earned an associate degree in economics, graduating 3rd in his class. Leroy worked in the construction field for many years. Leroy lived his life with joy and purpose, he loved his church, Christian Tabernacle Baptist Church, Pastor Keith A. King, Sr. Pastor and served in the Faith in Action Ministry. He served on the "Dinner for a Dollar" for many years and was faithful in cooking rice for the monthly service project.

Leroy lived with joy and gained a deeper love for God in his later years. He lived life with joy and purpose, never missing a moment to celebrate, uplift or simply enjoying the company of those he loved. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and strength, a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Leroy loved his children with all his heart, he leaves to cherish his memory Aleea Bailey-Rawls (Lillian), Lekece Martin-Bailey, Emeri Nyasia Bailey (Denzel) and bonus son, Lee Bailey; Grandchildren, Maurice Fleming-Bailey and Zaria Dixon. His loving sisters, Dawn Bailey, Rhoda Bailey (Yoshika), and Robyneann Bailey; his niece, Alana Hylton; bonus nephew Myles Tripp. He is also survived by his loving fiance', Lana Dixon, whom he loved and cherished deeply. Leroy's love for his family was endless and the memories will last forever in their hearts.

Leroy was the first born, beloved son to Leroy and Patricia Bailey, first grandson to Indiana and Ural Langston, (deceased) first nephew to Marian Heard (Winlow), Phyllis Little (deceased), Joseph Langston (Florence) deceased. Gail Grant (Ronnie) deceased. He is also predeceased by his nephew, Leroy Walton.
