Mr. Luther Gibson

Born: 06/17/1952

Missing You Always

You never said, I'm leaving.

You never said goodbye.

You were gone before we knew it,

And only God knows why.

In life we loved you dearly.

In death we love you still.

In our hearts we hold a place that only you can fill.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for a part of us went with you the day God took you home.

Luther was a retired humble man, he loved playing cards and especially watching his horror movies and the travel Channel Ghost Stories.

Mr. Luther Gibson served in the U.S. Army in 1969 until 1973.

Luther was the proud father of his daughter and only child Taneka Johnson and also a grandfather.

Luther called all of his sisters every night to talk. He would always ask how the kids were. Although they're all grown. Then he would say tell everybody I love them and he never ended any call to us without saying, I love you.

Luther leaves behind his daughter; Taneka Johnson, and grandchildren, sisters; Mattie Wright, Ruth Brown, Laura Gibson, Minnie Gibson and Annie Gibson, brothers; Willard Ford, Todd Gibson, Henry Gibson and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews, relatives and friends.

Luther is predeceased by his mother Ruth Dawson Gibson, his father Bryant (Sonny) Gibson, sisters; Matilda Roman and Vera (Patty) White, brothers; Bryant Gibson and Calvin Gibson.

Our father, brother, Uncle Luther will forever be missed, we love you Luther.
