Leroy Brown Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 30, 2026.
Leroy Brown-a devoted husband and father, a loving grandfather, an adventurer at heart-passed peacefully in his sleep on March 27, 2026.

Leroy's life was defined by a deep, unconditional devotion to his family. Fifty-four years ago, he met his soulmate, Shirley, and their lives became a beautiful, shared journey. When he married Shirley, he stepped in to help raise her three teenagers, Debra, Glen, and Johnny, as his very own. He was also the proud father of his daughter, Tina, and the only father that Shirley's youngest son, Michael, ever knew. Together, Leroy and Shirley later welcomed the youngest of the family, Roy Lee. Leroy took immense pride in the bond his children shared, and he raised them all with the same steady hand and loving heart.

A hardworking man who spent much of his life as a trucker and well-driller, Leroy found his true freedom on the back of a motorcycle. He loved nothing more than riding his Harley and heading out on adventures whenever he could. Whether he was exploring the great outdoors, camping, or exploring the countryside with Shirley, Leroy lived life with his throttle wide open.

He was known for his quiet strength-like a Timex, he took a licking and kept on ticking. He faced years of illness with a grit that inspired everyone around him, enduring every hardship for the sake of the family he adored.

He is now reunited in eternal rest with his beloved Shirley; his parents, Roy and Ruby Brown; his brother, Donald Brown; his grandsons, Johnny Isom, Jr. and Randall Lee Brown; and his great-granddaughter, Brittany Brophy.

His legacy of strength and love lives on through his children: Debra Mitchell (Isom), Glen Isom, Johnny Isom, Tina Alley (Brown), Michael Isom, and Roy Lee Brown; his many cherished grandchildren; and his precious great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared by the family when they become available.

No one could have asked for a kinder, braver step-father. He loved life to the fullest and loved God and hus family with his whole heart.
