Leroy Dollarhide, a beloved man with a big sense of humor, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 77. He was born on January 30, 1947, in Salina, Oklahoma, to Alvie and Lillian (Sanders) Dollarhide.
Leroy was known for his hardworking nature and versatility in various skills. A proud veteran, he served in the United States Army. Leroy's tough exterior was accompanied by a heart of gold; he was always willing to lend a helping hand those in need and just a phone call away for his loved ones.
His interests and hobbies painted a vibrant picture of his adventurous spirit. Leroy cherished spending time with his family, finding immense pride in their accomplishments. He loved the mother of five of his children, Neva, and the time he spent with her. Quick with a hug and always full of energy, he enjoyed exploring garage sales and stores for hidden treasures. A sports enthusiast, Leroy supported the Dallas Cowboys and the OKC Thunder. He enjoyed dancing, fishing trips, farming endeavors, and road trips with his sister.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Lillian Dollarhide; his wife, Neva Dollarhide; his son, Leroy Eli Dollarhide; brothers, David Dollarhide and Jerry Dollarhide; sister, Vergie Cole; and sister-in-law Jennie Dollarhide.
Leroy is survived by his sons, Robert Dollarhide and wife Jennifer, Richard Dollarhide, and Kenneth Dollarhide; daughters, Tina Jenks and husband Keith, Connie Collis and husband James, Lili Clay and husband Jeff, Destiny Hathcoat, and Eliza "Nay" Carroll; sisters, Sara Campbell, Lora Dollarhide, and Starla Dollarhide; grandchildren, Sam, Michael, Amanda, William, Nicole, Chad, Devon, Logan, Ryan, Damia, Bronwyn, Steven, Gavin, Sable, Caleb, Bella, Krysta, Hannah, Halle, Chris, Trisha, and Johnna; and 32 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Leroy will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Reese Calvert officiating. Interment will follow at the Elm Cemetery in Leach with Chad Jenks, Logan Jenks, Ryan Jenks, Caleb Dollarhide, William Dollarhide, Steven Clay, Gavin Clay, and Samuel Dollarhide serving as casket bearers. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2024, at Shipman's Funeral Home. To leave a personal message, please visit his guest book at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com.
