James Dollarhide Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sebrell Funeral Home on Dec. 1, 2025.
James ("Jim") Dollarhide, Jr., 45, passed away peacefully at home in Jackson after a brief illness. Jim was born on October 25, 1980, to the late Jim Dollarhide, Sr. and Kathryn Dollarhide. He grew up in Jackson and Madison, graduating from Madison Central High School. He attended Mississippi State University and, after moving back to Jackson, took classes at Jackson State University.
Jim evolved through several careers including following in his father's footsteps in the film industry, serving on the police force with the Madison Police Department, operating his own tow truck business, and taking both his capacity for technical knowledge and the skills he learned with Madison's finest into tactical supply and the firearms industry.
All his life, Jim loved the outdoors. His best days were spent fishing, hunting, riding dirt bikes or four-wheelers, and kayak camping trips on the big water. He especially enjoyed sharing his love for fishing with his precious daughter, Harper.
He is survived by his daughter Harper Dollarhide, of Ocean Springs, his mother, Kathryn Dollarhide, of Jackson, his brother John Dollarhide (Haley), of Nashville, and his sister Kate Wilkins (Cody), of Jackson, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his beloved dog, Boogie.
A visitation will be held at Wells United Methodist Church in Jackson on Tuesday, December 2, at 11:00 a.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 12:00 p.m.
