LeRoy Dukes Jr., 70, of Kaufman, Texas, passed away on October 17, 2025.
LeRoy was a hardworking man who owned and operated a tree service for over 20 years and was also involved in real estate. He dedicated his time to helping others through his volunteer work with the Kaufman County Extension Agency and the Mike Barber Prison Ministry.
A man of many talents, LeRoy loved singing and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed spending his time fixing up old tractors, lawn mowers, and just about anything mechanical.
He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Dukes Sr.; his mother, Jonel (Qualls) Dukes; and his sister, Marilyn Phyllis.
LeRoy is survived by his loving wife, Janice Dukes; his children, Michelle Yeatts (Jason) of Papillion, Nebraska, Melissa Eckhoff (Michael) of Argyle, Texas, Daniel Dukes, and Paul Dukes, both of Kaufman, Texas; his sisters, Carolyn Dukes and Debi McGill (Billy); as well as many nieces, nephews, and his cherished grandchildren—Austin and Tyler Yeatts, and Jonah and Zoe Eckhoff.
