Leroy Erving Obituary
Leroy was a proud graduate of Freeport High School, Class of 1972. After graduation he married Diane (Jordan)Erving. He was employed at Structo and later Kelly Springfield, where he was known for his steady work ethics.
Leroy Leaves to cherish his memory, his two children, Vicky Driver and Mario Erving both of Freeport; 13 grandchildren; two sisters Debra Pogue of Freeport and Roberta Keys of Kentucky; two brothers, Ricky (Cheryl) Erving and Willie Erving, both of Freeport; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Erving Erving, Jr. and Lyda Pearl Erving; three sisters, Pearlean Williamson, Gloria Dean Powell and Claudette Buchanan; and one brother, Vincent Wade Erving.
Leroy will be remembered by those who knew him for his quiet sprit, the love of his family, and the care that surrounded him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday August 22, 2025 from 2PM - 4PM, at the Schwarz Park Blvd Chapel, 608 S. Park Blvd in Freeport, IL
