Shonteika Erving Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shonteika Irving on October 10, 2024, at the age of 32. Shonteika was a cherished free spirit with a heart of gold and was a fierce and loving mother and a valued member of the community.
Born on September 17, 1992, in Kosciusko, Mississippi to Criss Jackson and Harold Gentry. Shonteika was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, love and abundance and she was a friend to many. She attended school in the Kosciusko school district, then moved to Meridian, MS where she resided, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
She leaves behind her grandmother: Stella Irving; mother: Criss Jackson; her father: Harold Gentry; Four children: Azavion Erving, Cedric Giles, Jr., Iveonna Erving, Jermarion Erving; brother: Christopher Erving; sister: Monica Erving. She also leaves her aunts, uncles, cousins, along with countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.
PLACE OF SERVICE: Winters Funeral Home Chapel, Kosciusko, MS
DATE OF SERVICE: Thursday 10/24/2024 at 11:00 a.m.
INTERMENT: Smyrna Cemetery, West, MS
