LeRoy E. Kline Jr., 90, of Quakertown, PA, died on October 11th, 2025, in his home. Born in Quakertown, LeRoy was the son of the late LeRoy Kline Sr. and the late Helen (Novak) Kline.
LeRoy attended St. Isidore Catholic School before graduating from Quakertown Community High School in 1953. He also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.
After high school, LeRoy started working at Eagle Shirt Company in Quakertown. There he joined the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America and served as a Delegate to their 1966 convention in Atlantic City. LeRoy met his future spouse, Eloise Pfeifer at Eagle Shirt Company. They would marry in 1968 and settle on California Road in Richland Township. They were married for 31 years.
LeRoy was also employed by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB). Throughout his tenure he worked at several stores and won numerous awards for his dedication to the PLCB. He was also a member of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1776. LeRoy retired from the PLCB in 1998.
Upon his retirement, LeRoy spent much of free time visiting antique stores and attending sporting events. He was an avid Quakertown High School sports fan and was a longtime season ticket holder to the DeSales University Men’s and Women’s basketball teams. He also followed the Philadelphia sports teams, and attended many Phillies games throughout his life. LeRoy also coached Connie Mack baseball in the 1950’s.
LeRoy was a congregant of St. Isidore’s Parish and regularly attended the Saturday Vigil.
LeRoy always had a special place in his heart for animals. From his childhood dog, Earl to the numerous family cats throughout the years. He also cared for dozens of feral cats and enjoyed feeding peanuts to the squirrels.
LeRoy was happiest sitting on his front porch reading the newspaper, watching the birds and the world pass him by. Above all else, he loved his family deeply and cherished the time spent with them.
LeRoy will be dearly missed by his children, First Child (Brian Kline) and Second Child (Kevin Kline); his grandchildren, First Grandchild (Sophia Kline); along with his extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, LeRoy is predeceased by his brother, Richard P. Kline and sister-in-law Donna (Kemmerer) Kline.
