Leroy Sylvester Wise Sr was born on April 21st,1936 and passed away on September 22nd, 2025 surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Leroy worked for the City of Akron Sewer Maintenance for thirty-one years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles and sitting on his favorite porch swing. He enjoyed watching old country shows. 

Preceded in death by his son, Leroy Wise Jr. and daughter, Laurie Lance; parents, Fred and Mary; sisters, Geraldine and Ellen and his brother, Vernon. He's been married to his longtime loving wife of sixty-seven years Norma (Doney) Wise. He is survived by his children, Dennis (Pam) Wise, Pamela Holloway and Jody Wise; son-in law, Edwin Lance. Leroy has eight grandchildren, Danielle (Robert) Agristo, Ashley Newell, Cody Holloway, Jessica (Josh) Pelfrey, Nicole Lance, Michael Lance, Miranda (Steve) Scaffidi and Michelle Farmer; eight great grandchildren, Lucas, Taylor, Kaylee, Aubrie, Tyler, Austin, Dawson and Logan; two sisters, Gloria and Marcella. Leroy also has many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Webb officiating.
