Mr. Leroy Yarbrough accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was united with Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he served as a faithful member. On February 19, 2019, he was united in holy matrimony with Mrs. Anita Jackson in. Clayton County, Georgia.
Mr. Leroy Yarbrough was employed by Strack Incorporation as a Foreman for over 30 years. In his leisure time he loved being outside, lawn & gardening, and planting flowers and trees.
On June 22, 2023, the pearly gates of Heaven opened, and Mr. Leroy Yarbrough's soul was escorted to be with the Lord. Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" reminds us that although we are deeply saddened by the loss of our loved one, the Lord will bless us with peace and comfort during our time of mourning. He was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Ann Moreland; and brothers, J.C. Moreland "Puddin", Bobby Moreland, and Eddie Moreland.
Mr. Leroy Yarbrough leaves his everlasting memories to be cherished in the hearts of his loving and devoted wife, Anita Yarbrough; daughter, Shambrel Gaston; sons, Letrez Yarbrough and Rockdrez Yarbrough; mother, Georgia Ann Moreland; stepdaughter, Aneshia & Brandon James; stepsons, Pastor Jon Jackson, Traimaine & Angel Jones, and Demarius Jones; sisters, Annie Moreland and Charlotte (CJ) Yarbrough, Patricia Moreland, and Debbie Byrd; and brother, Timothy (Jeanette) Yarbrough. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation for Mr. Yarbrough will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. A Home Going Celebration will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Family and friends are asked to arrive at the funeral home by 1:45 PM.
