It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of LeRoy Larry Yohn, 74, who passed away peacefully at his home in Watertown, Wisconsin, from congestive heart failure. LeRoy was born on December 18, 1950, in Columbus, Wisconsin, to Nina (née Randall) and Marvin Yohn. He grew up in Fall River, Wisconsin, on the family farm. Later, he and his brother, Jim Yohn, went into partnership, owning Yohn Dairy Farm in Fall River from 1977 to 2013. In addition to farming, he also worked at John Deere in Horicon.
Upon his retirement, he and his wife moved to Hayward, Wisconsin, where he enjoyed many hours of fishing on Nelson Lake. He also enjoyed dabbling in woodworking and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nina and Marvin Yohn, and an infant brother, Michael James Yohn.
LeRoy is survived by his wife of 21 years, Barbara Yohn; his stepdaughters, Joyce Bristol (Tim) and Bobbie Jo Bauer; and step-grandchildren, Nathan Coy (Dalton) and Jason Coy. He leaves behind his brother, Jim Yohn (Elsa), and Mary Schumann (Michael), who was raised "as his sister," along with many family members and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown, from 10 a.m. until noon. Online condolences may be made at www.hafemeisterfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Stephen's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fall River, Wisconsin, the American Heart Association (heart.org), or the National Kidney Foundation (kidney.org).
LeRoy will be laid to rest at the Fountain Prairie Cemetery in Fall River, Wisconsin.
