Sonny was born on July 16, 1946 in Pontotoc, MS. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and did one term in Vietnam.
Sonny is preceded in death by his father, Lesby White, Sr.; mother, Winnie Alvis Winters White; sister, Jean Abbott; and brothers, John Wayne White, Cecil White and Freddie White.
Left to treasure his memory is his wife, Kay White; daughters, Lisa Kendall (Shannon), Leslie Hogue (Brian), Allison Bowen (Blake), Ann Marie Cook (Daniel) and Tricia Arnold (Chad); and grandchildren, Alea Scribner, Riley Arnold, Anna Briggs, Brailynn Bowen, Beckett Kendall, Kole Hogue and Trotter Cook.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Shores Funeral Home, 7714 Front Beach Rd., Panama City Beach, FL 32407. Shannon Kendall will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sonny's name to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
