Leslie Jeanne Spires, 72, of Helena, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at her residence. She was born on Monday, April 7, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah to the late Cletus and Eugenia Robinson.
Professionally, Leslie dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse at Houston Medical Center.
Leslie is survived by her Husband - Jim Spires of Helena; Children - Jenny Dykes (Rodney) of Helena, Andrea Spires of Helena, and Erin Woodard (Shane) of Macon; Grandchildren -Morgan Jackson (Kevin), Montgomery Dykes, and Brooke Alexandrea Lockhart; Great-Grandchildren – A.J. Sowell and Noah Jackson; Sister - Michelle Horne (Danny) of Gresston.
Mrs. Spires was memorialized by cremation. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 1 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Lowes Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Ryals will officiate, assisted by Morgan Jackson. The family will receive friends in the Chapel from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue, P.O. Box 216, Miles, TX, 76861/www.donkeyrescue.org.
