DOD: 08/15/2023.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 08/23/23, 4-7PM at King Tears Mortuary (1300 E 12th St., Austin, TX 78702).
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, 08/24/23, 11AM at Metropolitan AME Church (1101 E 10th St., Austin, TX 78702).
Interment will be held Thursday, 08/24/23, 2:30PM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).

This morning I was thinking about Willie's 4th of July party 2003 and had the honor of meeting the Bells of Joy thru Robert Cunningham and enjoying my time with the guys. Saturday nite services as well as Sunday mornings. I will see you again I have no doubt, by God's grace and mercy. Leslie you were/are truly loved.

I was just thinking about The Bells of Joy, and upon looking them up on Google I saw Les´s obituary. I am SO sad to see that he has passed on, as I worked at Anderson High School when he did and just loved him! He was such a nice man, and always pleasant and smiling. He was so kind to everyone, and patient with the students; a great role model for them, as well. You are missed, Les. Everybody loved you!
