Being a late comer to the Handball Community, Les was one of the first handball players to engage in a conversation about handball and life. Every time I saw Les he always greeted me as if I had always been part of the family. Sad to hear of his passing, he will be missed.

Some of my most enjoyable matches were against Les. Always a competitor but always a gentleman. RIP.

When I moved to St Louis back in 96, Les was one of the first handball players to welcome me. He invited me to play doubles with him at the annual tournament at the Lake of the Ozarks. A great friend in the following years and the Handball Community will miss him deeply.

My deepest condolences. We had many handball games together and I enjoyed those and the many conversations we had. He has been and will be missed in our handball community.

Les was one of a handful of J friends who greeted me warmly whenever our paths crossed. He was my trusted window guy and fashion advisor (especially outwear and sweaters that could be bought for a song at Dillards). Like many others, I have nothing but great memories to fall back on, now that he´s gone. Condolences to all.

Renee and I were saddened to learn of Les' passing. He was an old friend and, while our days of "paling around" were long gone, we still met for lunch fairly regularly and always enjoyed his company. As the song goes, I always thought I would see him again. He'll be missed, and remembered fondly.

Great friend, a voice of reason, always had a smile on his face and an open ear. Knowing Les made life a little brighter. A friend like Les is irreplaceable. I will miss him. Knowing Less as I do he is playing handball again free from pain with his buddy Jimmy(give him the hop) Dix. My heartfelt condolences to Les's family. HE WAS A MENSCH...

Les was a wonderful friendly man on and off the handball courts---a man of honor, integrity and easy to talk with. Our deepest condolences to his family. Steve Goldman
