Leslie (Les) Albert Wilcomb, Jr., 82 of Brooksville, Florida passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.
He had been battling Alzheimer's for many years.
Les was born in Lynbrook, New York and lived in Roosevelt, New York as a child. He moved with his parents to Dalton, New Hampshire. He joined the Army National Guard and was in the Artillery division for four years. Following, he became a foreman of a shoe factory where he met his wife, Gail. They were married in 1964 and then started their family in Vermont where Les became a logger. In 1972, he moved his family to Florida. In 1979, he moved his family to Hernando County and became self-employed.
Les was a family man; his family always came first, and he cared about his friends too. He would have given anyone the shirt off his back If they needed it. Les always had a smile on his face and ready to lend a helping hand wherever he could, and never met a stranger.
He loved the water whether it was a swimming in his pool, or at the beach. He enjoyed listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
We will all miss him dearly and think of him daily until we are together again.
