Lester Fuller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services on Aug. 21, 2023.
Lester 'Tuffy' Fuller moved into his Heavenly home on August 17th 2023. Born September 19th, 1933, he would have soon celebrated his 90th birth- day, but he was given the Lord's gift of a peaceful passing at home surrounded by his family. He leaves his beloved wife, Wilma Fuller; his daughter, Debra Risner (and husband Gale Risner); his grandchildren, Angie Pattengale (and husband Billie Pattengale) and April Pattee (and husband Jason Pattee), Randy Risner and Heather Ricketts; great grandchildren, Breanna Reynolds (and husband Evan Reynolds), Shea Wickstrom, Tristin and Bailey Pattee and many, many friends and family who loved him dearly. He has been reunited in death with his son, Steve Fuller, who he has longed to see again and now walks with, hand-in-hand. Tuffy and Wilma celebrated their final 69th anniversary together in this life on August 8th. Tuffy's greatest joy was knowing that his family was saved and will one day be together again, it is the legacy he leaves in the example that he set. Tuffy lived a life that was honoring to Jesus. A life that embodied the love of Christ to and for all of those who knew him. To know Tuffy is to love him. To be in his presence is to feel a true and honest joy. Tuffy was many things to many people. A devoted Husband, a loving Father, a sweet Grandpa and a playful Papa – and, to everyone, a friend and faithful servant. In whatever way you knew him, you knew him to be true and honoring to all that is good with expressions of love in whatever he did. Tuffy lived many lives in one lifetime. He was both a descendent of the Cherokee Tribe and an American Patriot. The true essence of a man was Tuffy. He worked as hard as any man could ever work, he was tough and got his name honest; but there was so much more to him than all the ways he worked. He was sincere, authentic, genuine and gentle. He was the kind of husband who exalted his wife, the kind of Dad who gave everything of himself to serve his children and the kind of Grandpa who got on the ground to play and showed up to every game. In his work, he was a farmhand and cattle herder, a U.S. Army Veteran, a Ross Gear machine operator, a semi- truck driver, an LSC bus driver for special needs students, and then worked as an assistant bus driver to his beloved wife. In the things he enjoyed and in the ways he loved to serve, he was a church usher, a softball player and coach, a fisherman (unless he took his grandkids fishing and he'd be the all-day-fishin' line-detangler), an outdoorsman, a cowboy, a lawncare ex-traordinaire, and his wife's house cleaning super hero. The sweetest of souls, Tuffy Fuller was the best of us. If you are able to celebrate his life with the Fuller family, please join us at: Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Thursday August 24th, 2023 Viewing 12:00pm – 1:00pm Funeral Services 1:00pm – 2:00pm Tuffy was a simple man and he wanted a simple exit from this life. Though we feel the pain of the void, he would ask us to celebrate this time of his passing, not to sorrow but to rest in the knowledge that he is home. He walks with the Lord who has adorned him and gifted him with his many treasures in Heaven. Goodbye our sweet Lester Tuffy Fuller, we will see you again someday.
