Lester Schoelkopf Obituary
He was a longtime member of the Columbia Borough Fire Police and enjoyed visiting the Delaware Beaches where he had a summer home.
Funeral services will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. Columbia PA on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM
Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Garden
Lester R. Schoelkopf, Sr. 77, of Columbia, passed away at the Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where he has resided for the past year. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Edward and Ethel Herman Schoelkopf.
He retired after 30 years of service from Armstrong World Industries, Marietta. He was a longtime member of the Columbia Borough Fire Police, enjoyed visiting the Delaware Beaches where he had a summer home for a few years and loved his canine companions, Bella and Pee-Wee.
Lester is survived by his son, Lester Jr., husband of Monica Schoelkoph; grandsons, Nickolaus, Brady and Greysan; brothers, Jake, Barry and Sam; sisters, Diane Schoelkopf and Anna wife of Lester Yountz, Jr. His siblings, Edward Jr., Donald, William and Ruth Buzzendore preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. Columbia PA on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Mark Wilke, officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may view on Friday one hour prior to the service.
