Lester Ray Tillman Sr., 71, was born on April 6, 1953, in Bonita, Texas to Augusta Lucinda Carnahan Tillman and Henry James Tillman. He was called home to be with our Lord in Heaven at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Becky Tillman; his parents, Augusta Lucinda Carnahan Tillman and Henry James Tillman; his brothers, James “Buddy” Royce Tillman, Larry Junior Tillman, Jerry Don Tillman; and great-grandson, Jaxon Lee Parker.
He is survived by his sisters, Thelma June Clark and Retta Braddock; his brother, Danny Joe Tillman; his children, Lara Ann Grubb, Lester Ray Tillman Jr., Henry James Tillman, wife, Sonja Tillman, Myranda Kay Davis; his grandchildren, Andrea Grubb, Tyler Johnson, Sabrina Tang, Kyle Tillman, Michael “Mikey” Tillman; great-grandchildren, Alizabella Grubb, Jessica Parker and Octavia Tang; and his many nieces and nephews as well for he loved them all.
The family would like to especially thank Lester’s oldest sister, Thelma June Clark, for all the years she spent dedicated to taking care of her brother (her kid). Also, a special thanks to Roseview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and to Darlene Tasby (his nurse) for caring for him while he was in her care.
Lester was loved by many, and his memory will be cherished forever by everyone who came to know him.
Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.
