Lester Franklin "Growlie Bear" Warner

Lester Franklin Warner, also fondly known as "Growlie Bear", 63, of Winchester, VA died, January 3, 2026 at Blue Ridge Hospice In-Patient Care Center.

Lester was born May 21, 1962 in Winchester; son of the late, Lester Edgar Warner and Mary Hisghman Shrout. He worked for Quad Graphics for twenty-five plus years. Lester loved hunting and fishing, and will always be known for the pranks he pulled on those he loved the most.

He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Renee Brown (Jason) of Winchester; granddaughter, Destiny Brown; grandsons, Julius and Brandon Brown, great granddaughter, Olivia Alsberry; sister, Tammy Bickert of Winchester; niece Stephanie Adams-Click and her two children, Haley Adams and Brayden Click and his nephew, Josh Bickert and his two children, Emma and Helena Bickert.

Lester is preceded in death by his brothers, Dwayne Dwight Warner and Brian Jonathan Warner.

The family will receive friends at Jones Funeral Home, January 11, 2026 from 12:00 – 2:00 pm.
