Letha dedicated most of her life to the service of others. She served not only as a loving matriarch to her family but also in many ways to the community. Many people in town, besides her own grandchildren, lovingly referred to her as Granny.
She spent 8 years as the director of the Community Outreach Center in Portageville. Proceeds from the center contributed greatly to the building of the St. Eustachius Parish center.
As of member of St. Eustachius Church she took on many active roles including serving many years as President of the Ladies Sodality. Letha also set up a Birthright office and volunteered countless hours of service to the church.
Her dear friend Matilda Eftink was especially near and dear to her heart. They were lifelong friends that shared their love of family and love of God.
Letha's legacy of family was perhaps her greatest gift. She exemplified the meaning of a loving Christian mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be greatly missed.
