Letha White Selph, 87, of Helena, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024. Born on January 8, 1937 in Cedar Grove, Georgia to the late Elisha White and Rosie Hall White, Letha's life was a testament to the power of kindness, family, and unwavering dedication to the ones she loved. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lee Selph.
Throughout her life, Letha embraced the role of a homemaker with pride and joy. She created a home that was a haven of comfort and happiness for all who entered. She was a member of McRae Church of God.
Letha's legacy is carried on through her loving children, Deborah Wynne of Helena and Dean Selph (Julie) of Helena. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her grandchildren, Kit Lowery of Atlanta, Kody Wynne (Rebecca) of Atlanta, Sarah Selph of Alamo, and Emily Knowles (Kaleb) of Milan. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Jax Hickman of Atlanta, Adelina Wynne of Stone Mountain, and Judson Dean Knowles of Milan.
She was a beloved sister and is survived by a host of siblings who will miss her dearly: Sandra Walker of Enigma, Mary Ellen Wokcik of Eldorado, Arnold White of Tifton, Ann Wiggins (Jeff) of Tifton, Keith White (Lisa) of Lenox, Tim White (Crystal) of Doerun, and Tony White (Marial) of North Carolina.
As we bid farewell to Letha White Selph, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a journey completed with grace. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us of the beauty of a life dedicated to love, family, and community.
A graveside service will be held at Mt. Olivet Church Cemetery on Saturday, December 21 at 12:00 PM with Chaplain Daniel Gilliam officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at Lowes Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM.
