Leticia Carreno

Leticia Carreño was born in Cerro Prieto, Guanajuato on September 21, 1963 to Oliva and Fidencio Carreño (nee Martinez). Leticia was an amazing mother, she loved to cook and spend time with her family. She loved her weekend breakfasts with her kids at IHOP or Dunkin Donuts. She enjoyed singing and listening to music; some of her favorite artists include Ana Gabriel, Paquita La Del Barrio, Angela Aguilar, Javier Torres and many others. She was the heart of our family and second mother to all of her siblings. Her hobbies include watching her novelas and her favorite show Exactlon. She was always very elegant, would get ready and put make up on no matter the occasion was. She enjoyed shopping, her favorite store was Carsons where she would get her classic Chanel 5 perfume. She loved red roses which generated her love for gardening. She loved her family and put everyone first before herself and health. She loved to travel to Mexico to visit her family and planned to one day retire there.
Her dedication and love shown towards her family will forever be cherished. She is survived by her husband Javier Gonzalez; her children Eder Renteria, Maria Jasmin Renteria and Crystal Gonzalez and her siblings Lucia, Lucina, Oliva, Berta, Fidel, Fernando, Jorge, Lazaro, and Gonzalo; and her beloved dog, Hazel.
Her visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 4:00-8:00 pm at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085. Her funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 am at Holy Family Church, 450 Keller Avenue, Waukegan, IL 60085.
