Levern Stephenson Obituary
Benson, NC: Mr. Levern Byrd Stephenson, age 91, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Harnett Wood’s Nursing and Rehab in Erwin, NC, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Mr. Randy Byrd will officiate. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Benson, NC.
Mr. Stephenson was born on January 26, 1932 in Johnston County, NC to the late George W. “Bill” Stephenson and Kittie Eleanor Byrd Stephenson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shelby Jean McLamb Stephenson and brothers, Donahue Stephenson and Denzil Stephenson. Mr. Stephenson was a retired wall paper hanger. He was a member of Dunn Advent Christian Church in Dunn, NC, and was also a US Army Veteran.
Survivors include his daughter, Clarissa Stephenson, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM-1:45PM, Thursday, March 9, 2023 prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC.
Flowers are welcomed.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Harnett Wood’s Nursing and Rehab Center for their loving care shown to Mr. Stephenson.
