Levi Kimsey was born February 18, 1981 to Michael and Sheila Kimsey. After getting out of school, Levi worked in the family business, Kimsey Cabinet Shop until 2008. When building completely shut down in 2008 due to the economy, the cabinet business didn't have any work so Levi started a business in lawn work, cutting trees and mowing grass. Later he moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he worked as a lifeguard also and a swimming instructor before eventually moving back to Hiawassee. Back home, Levi worked for the Wright Construction Company in Hayesville helping build the highway In Hayesville, North Carolina. From there he later moved to Nashville, Tennessee and worked for True Green Lawn Care Company. Due to bad sinus allergies, he then moved to Salt Lake City Utah searching for a dryer climate to help his sinus allergies where he worked for All West Communications.

Levi's hobbies were riding dirt bike motorcycles and playing his guitar. He also loved playing on his PlayStations and talking to people. He was greatly loved by his family and friends, and his church family. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Haysville, North Carolina. He was very friendly and kind hearted to his friends, and a very honest person. His coworkers said that Levi was an absolute pleasure and joy to work with and to be around.
