Lewis Joel Fanwick

Lewis Fanwick of Wilton Connecticut died peacefully on May 20th, 2025. He was surrounded by his loved one. Lewis was born in Pasasic grew up in Stamford Connecticut, Lewis was a boy scout and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Rippowam High School in 1971. While he was in high school, in addition to Boy Scouts, he was active in the singing group Up With People and the anti-drug education group Abrasis. After High School, he enlisted in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He achieved the rank of Sargent.
Following the Air Force, he completed his degree in Sociology soon to be followed by a MSW and an MBA.
Lewis married Elaine Green in 1975 and was married until 2004. In 2017 he married to Marsha Rechel.
Lewis is survived by his Mother Lee Nathan Fanwick, sister Leslie Liss, brother Eric Fanwick, in-laws Jeffery Liss and Michelle Fanwick, step-daughters Nicole Rechel and Lauren Rechel; nieces Jenette Liss Woskow, Joan Fanwick Bass, Emily Fanwick and Lily Fanwick, nephews Steven Liss, Jason Liss and Max Fanwick. Great nieces and nephews: Elise and Xavier Woskow, Celine and Hailey Liss, Elayne and Rose Jean Bass.
