Lewis “Keith” Kidd, 54, of Siler City, NC went to his heavenly home on Wednesday May 28. 2025. Keith was born November 7, 1970, at Chatham Hospital to Joseph “Joe” Abner Kidd, and Sue Kidd Underwood.
Keith was a devoted father to his children, loving son, and brother. Preceded in death by his father Joe Kidd. He is survived by his mother, Sue Underwood and stepfather, “Papaw” Jim Underwood, three children: Son: Tanner Kidd, Daughter: Kayla Kidd (Dyllon Humphries), and Son: Matthew Kidd. Sister; Anna Sue Moody, and Brother Bryant Kidd (Tammy). Nephews: Joseph Moody (Jessica), Jonathan Moody, Garrett Kidd, Jacob Moody (Autumn) and Niece Brittni Kidd (Bre). Great-nieces and nephews: Abbie, Sophia, Wyatt, Parker, and Jonah Moody; and former Wife, Karen VonCannon.
Keith graduated from Jordan-Matthews High School and pursued many careers but had a passion for sales. He never met a stranger, was quick witted and you never saw him without a smile on his face. He was always willing to help others and was truly a handyman. Keith loved his quality time with family. Keith was a leader in the Silk Hope Troop 911. He was a former member of the Silk Hope Ruritan Club. He coached many different sports. He loved being outdoors going hunting, fishing, gardening, or playing golf. He was a faithful member of Rocky River Baptist Church for many years, where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and helped lead the youth. Keith also volunteered for many years with children: coaching, leading the Boy Scouts, and working in the community.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Rocky River Baptist Church, 4436 Siler City Snow Camp Rd., Siler City, NC 27344.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2nd, 2025, at 2 PM, at Rocky River Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at the church from 11-2 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow service in the church cemetery. Services will be officiated by Reverend Jason Dickerson.
